Amy,

Thank you for your email and your concern about the potential of a Gentlemen’s Club location within Sharpsburg Borough.

At this time, no applications for usage permits have been completed requesting this OR ANY use of the building at 1822 Main Street . No business can begin operations, in Sharpsburg , without a completed usage permit application and approval IN PERSON at a Borough Council Meeting. Also, the type of business mentioned on the sign is STRICTLY PROHIBITED BY ORDINANCE in the zoning categorization of that particular building.

At his time, Amy, there is no application for or official inquiry into a Gentlemen’s Club in the Borough of Sharpsburg, there is merely an entry on a sign.

Several residents are scheduled to speak on this subject at the Sharpsburg Regular Council Meeting on June 2, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. at the Borough Building . This meeting is open to the public and I would encourage you to attend to monitor the action taken on this subject.

One week + One day = Closing

The insurance-required railing is now installed. My mother-in-law’s boyfriend—a general contractor—custom built it on premises. Materials and labor: $0. Just an investment of several hours Thursday night, and six+ on Friday and Sunday.

Because we were at the new house for so long we got to meet many of our neighbors (or I did—Amy was trapped on the porch for the most part). The current homeowner is awesome, and he told us alot about the house, the neighborhood, and the people.

Update: thus far, we nearly have a church building and we nearly had a house

We spent the two days after Christmas (two days, one night) at a beautiful resort in West Virginia, which is also home to the longest drive-through holiday light display in the U.S.

We have some pics from our first Christmas as Pittsburghers. Christmas was nice. Christmas Eve had us opening gifts at Grandma’s after a nice dinner with the family. Christmas afternoon had us back at Grandma’s enjoying leftovers and games with some of the family who weren’t there Christmas Eve.
